Crowdsource Recipe Testing: February 19th
Is it really Sunday already? My how the weekends fly by! I had another bridal shower for my sister-in-law today, which will wrap up some of the wedding events until the big day in May! How did you all spend your Sunday? Hopefully you got rested up and are ready to take on the week ahead!
If you have been lacking some motivation or creativity in the kitchen recently, then these amazing vegan recipes are sure to give you just the boost you’ve been looking for! Here are some of the best ones I saw this week on the interwebs:
Bailey’s & Black Tea French Toast – I LOVE this idea! I was never really a breakfast person before I started getting into shape, but now I can’t live without it! This is a fun and indulgent breakfast that is perfect for the weekend!
Vegan Reuben Sliders – I love the idea of making a patty and trying to mimic Reuben flavors rather than trying to mimic the thinly sliced texture of corned beef (with seitan or other faux meat). These look amazing and would be great for parties as appetizers!
Millet Stuffed Egyptian Vine Leaves – I absolutely love Dolmas (Greek stuffed grape leaves) and these are basically the same thing, except with a Middle Eastern flair! Though they may look a bit daunting to put together, I’m sure it’s totally worth it!
Layered Salad with Orange-Ginger Dressing – Angela at Oh She Glows has some of the most drool-worthy recipes out there and this one is no exception. This grain and veggie salad was inspired by a salad from Whole Foods and I cannot wait to try it out! This lovely dish would be a great foodie or hostess gift as well!
Chocolate-Strawberry Truffle Pie – I have no words for this. Seriously – just look at the picture and tell me you don’t want to make this. Now.
That’s all for this week – is that enough inspiration for you? I know it has been for me – I can’t wait to get back into the kitchen this week! Enjoy the last bit of your weekend – I’ll be back tomorrow with my first original bread recipe…exciting!
P.S. Have you been trying out these awesome recipes from the crowdsource recipe testing series? If so, I’d love to hear from you – I’d like to start a guest posting series that involves recipe testing, so let me know if you’re interested!
