Crowdsource Recipe Testing: Holiday Goodies
I know that I just did a holiday cookie post, but there are so many delicious vegan treats that don’t fall into a specific category, nor do they really qualify as a true dessert. These goodies are more like something you’d see at a holiday potluck spread or sitting out during a game or while playing cards and they aren’t necessarily sweet, either.
Though they don’t fall totally into one category or another, it doesn’t make them any less delicious. So, I’ll let these noms do the rest of the talking – enjoy!
Raw Caramel Apple Chocolates – These little guys look so delicious! These would be great for bringing to work or to a potluck for people to much on after their meal (or before!) and they’d never even know they were raw vegan. You could do these in any shape mold you like, so they can be festive and tasty all at the same time!
Sesame and Poppyseed Crackers – If you are having a vegan dip spread or a ‘meat’ and ‘cheese’ tray, then these homemade crackers are a must! They are super easy to make and your guests will appreciate the homemade touch!
Crunchy Raw Protein Balls – The holidays are so full of decadent treats and rich dinners that it’s easy to go overboard. If you put these on a plate to share they are sure to disappear and the best part is that they are good for you! You can roll these protein balls in anything you’d like, so choose cacao nibs for a more dessert-like ball and sesame seeds for a more savory treat!
Orange Pineapple Crackers – I eat a lot of hummus (even more than usual) and other dips around the holidays, so crackers are always a welcome addition to the table. These are by far one of the most interesting crackers I’ve seen and I can’t wait to give them a try. These are more of a sweet cracker and they’d go great with dessert dips such as her tropical mousse spread!
Raw Caramel Slice – This little goody reminds me a lot of toffee and I bet it tastes even better! Not only would this be a hit at parties, but it would also make a great gift! You could make up a big batch, break it up, and put it into cellophane bags for a great handmade holiday present!
Next week I’ll have another cookie recipe along with some more gift product reviews and other surprises!
