Crowdsource Recipe Testing: March 18th

Posted on Mar 18, 2012 by in Recipes | 0 comments

Happy day after St. Patrick’s Day! I hope you all had a nice holiday and were able to enjoy some Irish eats! I made some corned seitan with red potatoes, cabbage, and Irish soda bread and then some shamrock shakes for dessert – it was amazing! What vegan eats did you partake in yesterday?

Now on to this week’s best-looking recipes!

Buckwheat Graham Crackers – with warmer temperatures comes bonfires and with bonfires comes S’mores! These buckwheat graham crackers would be the perfect complement to some vegan marshmallows and chocolate on a cool Spring night!

Cauliflower Rice – I love me some rice, but sometimes it’s nice to take a break from all of the carbs and let my body cleanse itself a bit. This cauliflower rice looks like a great substitute for rice with much more nutritional value!

Garlic-Sriracha Buffalo ‘Wings’ – I have to admit that when I was an omni buffalo wings were one of my favorite foods. I haven’t touch actual chicken in years, but these spicy little tofu squares look like they could be my new wing replacement of choice – spicy, tangy, and served with a nice cooling dip!

Chocolate Bread Pudding with Coconut-Cayenne Cream – Ok, I’ve never actually had bread pudding, but this looks too amazing to not try. Anything with bread, chocolate, and cayenne is OK in my book – so how can you go wrong by combining all of them. I don’t think you can.

Spicy Lentil Wrap – This wrap is a homemade version of the vegan lentil wraps at Trader Joe’s and it looks phenomenal! This would be great for making on the weekend and eating for lunches throughout the week. Though the initial construction looks like it might take a little bit of time, you could make them in bulk, which would save you lots of time during the week.
