Crowdsource Recipe Testing: Valentine’s Edition
Happy Sunday everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was very busy: business meetings, cooking/baking, painting, basketball game, and today I have a bridal shower that I’m throwing for my sister-in-law – yowza! I didn’t realize how much I did this weekend until I wrote it all out!
Anyway, I’m back to my normal Sunday posting of some of the latest and greatest vegan dishes on the interwebs. I’m not hugely into Valentine’s Day – I mostly see it as a commercial holiday invented just to sell people things and make single peeps feel badly about their love lives – but I am hugely into yummy looking vegan treats so I thought I would dedicate this post to Valentine’s Day anyway.
Here’s the nummiest looking vegan Valentine’s Day noms I saw this week:
Chocolate Tart with Hazelnut Crust – Ok, this is the most decadent looking dessert I’ve seen in a long time. Also, Shelley has a beautiful recipe card to go with it!
Heart-Shaped Cinnamon Rolls – There’s no recipe with this one (and I don’t think the ones in the picture are vegan), but you can use a vegan cinnamon roll recipe such as this one and use the technique pictured here for an amazing Valentine’s Day breakfast.
Raw Raspberry Cheesecake Mousse – This looks soooooo fancy you guys, but it doesn’t actually look that hard at all to make! The perfect combo – fancy-looking & easy to make! Also, she even shows you how to make the adorable little chocolate hearts.
Vegan Red Velvet Rice Treats – These are rice krispie treats are Valentine’s Day-style steroids! They are so adorable and they are totes vegan – which is awesome!
Blackberry and Blood Orange Shortcake – These adorable shortcakes look decadent, but they have fruit in them so they have to be healthy, right? Satisfy your (or your love’s) sweet tooth plus get a serving of fruit – bliss!
Are you making anything special this Valentine’s Day?
