Intermission: Happy Holidays
I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday! The family and I have a few more events yet this year before our holidays are completed, but we’ve definitely had some great times already with family and good friends. The little one was sick on Christmas Eve, but we still managed to build gingerbread houses, go see the lights display in our town, and make cookies for santa.
On Sunday night I cooked up a vegan spread for a few people including a rosemary and thyme rubbed Torfurky, roasted sweet potatoes, rye dinner rolls, and corn with roasted cranberries.
The little one and our goddaughter made gingerbread houses on Christmas Eve. I used this gingerbread recipe and the kids had a great time decorating.
And, as an extra little Christmas present, I received my vegan care package from Our Hen House for making a donation to their organization. I love everything about Our Hen House and the lovely ladies who are responsible for it, so I was more than happy to see my money go to such a good cause.
I’ve got some more holiday wrap- up posts for you that I’ll post on Sunday, but I am going to take the rest of the week off to enjoy some quality time with the family. I’ll also have a year-end post that details my plan for the blog for 2013.
How have you been spending the holidays?
