Howdy, y’all! Sorry this post is going up so late today – I was out of town for work all last week and as soon as I got back I had a wedding and I have to move out of my house this week, too! Needless to say, it’s been busy, but I love this series, so I wanted to make sure you guys got a sampling of the best vegan noms on the interwebs no matter what.
Without further ado (and mostly because I’m short on time), here are some of the best of the best this week – beware: it is dessert heavy, but after a week in Vegas my mind is leading me in a more sinful pleasure direction
Chocolate PB Cupcakes w/Cream Cheese Frosting – Um, beautiful, decadent, and perfect for parties? What a perfect combo! You all know I like to look at dessert more than I like to eat it, but cream cheese anything is my jam, so I may have to whip up a batch of these for my friend’s birthday next week!
Red Velvet Protein Bars – Seriously? This is fantastic-looking! I love red velvet and these protein bars look easy to put together and they are low on sugar and high on protein, which is something I’m always looking for to supplement my workouts.
Chocolate Cookie Dough Ice Cream – When I was in high school one of my friends worked at DQ and we used to sneak in the back and eat the cookie dough straight out of the enormous box it came in. Clearly, I have a thing for cookie dough and this chocolate ice cream looks like it could satisfy that craving. Though the process looks a bit involved, I’m sure the end result it worth it.
Vanilla Chocolate Cheesecake w/Passion Fruit Topping – See, I told you it was dessert heavy this week! Not only does this look beautiful, but it uses lots of whole foods ingredients to create a completely drool-worthy cheesecake. Plus, you can feel a little less guilty since there’s fruit on top – haha!
Snickers Protein Bars – This is another easy and delicious protein bar recipe that I found while looking for something to pack for the gym. Snickers, even though they are packed with sugar and other nasty products, were a great way to feel full in between meals, so I’m eager to see if these have the same affect, just with more wholesome ingredients.
So, since I’m in the middle of my move, I’m not sure I’ll be able to post at all this week. I’m going to try my best, but if you don’t hear from me this week that’s why and I promise I’ll be back as soon as possible – I miss you guys!
