Sunday Funday June 9th
Does anyone else feel like this weekend has flown by? I feel like I blinked and it was nearly over! Unfortunately, I got injured during a workout last week so I’ve been a bit laid up this weekend, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying some delicious vegan noms.
The husband and I are celebrating an anniversary next week, so I thought I’d spotlight some vegan dishes this week that would be great for a romantic dinner. Enjoy!
Cherry Cheesecake – Who says dinner can’t start with dessert? This amazing looking cherry cheesecake would knock the socks off of your partner and you’d be able to relive your romantic evening with the leftovers (if there are any!).
Cauliflower Steak with Mushroom Gravy – Cauliflower steaks are such a classy main dish for any vegan meal, and the addition of the creamy gravy makes it a great option for impressing your date. Not only is it fancy, but it’s also very easy to make – the perfect combo!
Spring Garlic Risotto with Fried Radishes – So many things to say about this, but honestly, you should just pop over to Vegan Iowan and drool over the pics yourself. Nothing says fancy like risotto, and the fried radishes add a little something special your someone special won’t forget!
Creamy Dreamy Zucchini Pasta – When my husband and I were dating I’d always order pasta no matter where we went for dinner. Nothing I used to have could compare to this delicious-looking raw pasta dish.
Raw Double Chocolate Cannoli – With a dessert like this I think I’d rather skip dinner and head straight for the sweets! I can’t even explain how delectable this dish looks. Though you have to plan at least a day ahead (for dehydrating the shells), it looks to be well worth it.
What is your favorite meal to cook for romantic occasions?
